The interior arrangement of the tomb is austere and of impressive proportions. The narrow antechamber, with light yellow at the top of the walls and black at the bottom, divided by relief bands (cornices) of black and white colour, is decorated by a painted composition that covers the entire ceiling, and is perhaps unique at the present. It consists of six alternating palmettes and large water-lillies with huge tendrils. One has the impression that this entire colourful floral complex is floating on a light blue ground recalling the surface of a lake. Was this an attempt allusion to a landscape in the Underworld, such as Lake Acheron?
